Their thin bodies and cutaways that provide greater access to the upper frets, offer smoother switching between electric and acoustic instruments. The special APX bracing design delivers excellent response with a thicker mid and high range tone. Inheriting the basic specifications from APX500, the 500II offers a newly developed Yamaha original preamp/piezo pickup. This new pickup is an under-saddle type, yet the piezo element is individually placed for each string in order to catch more accurate sound information.
